Iyengar Yoga, a system that focuses on the art of healing, was created by BKS Iyengar and bases its methodology on the body alignment of the musculoskeletal system, for the optimal functionality and health of your joints and the organic system supported by it. When imbalances appear due to bad postural habits, an accident, surgery, etc. those create weakness or tension which will be compensated with another part of the body; causing more tension, contractures, loss of joint space that turns into discomfort and later pain.
The Iyengar Yoga Center offers Therapeutic Yoga led by certified and qualified teachers, who accompany and guide patients through their recovery process. This service is open to the student community and also to people who have not practiced yoga before.
